Students will learn the basic concepts and techniques of playing Congas, and other world music drums. Classic and popular rhythms such as Cha Cha, Afro 6/8, Guaguanco and Samba, are examples of some of the many rhythms taught in this course. Instructor: Carlos Rodriguez has studied under master congueros David \"la Mole\" Ortiz, master Djembefoli, and Mamady \"Wadaba\" Kurouma. In addition, Rodriguez leads the popular world-music band Mezcal.
